About me

Hello,

I’m Nóra Polyák, creating under the name Polly Nora.

Art has been part of my life since childhood. I attended music-focused primary and secondary schools, where I was immersed in creativity and the performing arts from an early age. As a member of outstanding choirs, I had the opportunity to travel extensively and experience different cultures and perspectives. These experiences and impressions continue to shape the way I see the world today.

Later, I graduated from Visart Art School, which has close ties to its parent institution in Paris. Since then, I have been working as a graphic designer and art director. Although I have always loved my profession, over time I felt an increasingly strong desire for a freer, more intuitive form of creativity. This is how painting found its way into my life, opening up an entirely different space for self-expression.

What I love about painting is the way something that once existed only as a feeling or thought gradually comes to life through every brushstroke and layer. On canvas, I can express things that I might never be able to put into words.

Through my paintings, I want to make these feelings visible: everything that moves within and around me, the energies that surround us, our connection to nature and to ourselves, and the vibrancy and diversity of life.
